Glacier Hills Bible Church in Hartford began in November of 1994 with a "Vision" to reach out to people in the Hartford Area who were not currently connected with a Church family.  Pastor Jeff  and Becky Schimp and a group of committed people began a ministry which was called "Saturday Night."  This was a Coffee House style ministy which met in a local school cafeteria and featured music, a message on life related topic along with lots of popcorn and refreshments being served.

By Spring of 1995 a group of interested people were meeting and interested in a Sunday morning Church ministry.  The group met throughout the Summer of 1995 and by Fall rented a building on Main Street in Hartford for Worship Services and Instruction in the Word of God.  After 3 years the group moved to larger facilities at Cental Middle School in Hartford which provides abundant space for the Ministry.  The group has enjoyed the large stage for Christmas Presentations such as "Christmas Shoes" and more recently "A Christmas Carol."

Glacier Hills Bible Church seeks to make the focus of ministry people.  While we are open to God's leading on a facility of our own we are thankful for how God has provided us with adequate space at Central Middle School for these years.  Because of this we have enjoyed serving the people of the Hartford Area in a meeting place which is comfortable to many people without the high costs associated with our own building.
